For this project, Studio Tate drew on the understated glamour of the South Yarra locale to bring these new three storey townhouses to life. Manteau is a statement piece, subdued elegance with moments of discreet pleasure. It's bespoke tailoring meets everyday luxury.
Manteau was a collaboration project with developer MAKE who was also the client, DKO Architects, Studio Tate and Jack Merlo Landscape. Being MAKEs first development project as a client and developer, the focus on delivering high quality, specific townhouses for the purchaser was of the highest priority. The brief, keeping in mind the target purchaser would be young professionals, was to highly consider an effortless connection between the internal and external environment of each townhouse. The importance of this link lead the team to work closely with Jack Merlo, from Jack Merlo Landscape in order to deliver the ultimate outcome.
Located in the inner-city suburb of South Yarra, one of Melbournes most sought after suburbs, where it enjoys ready access to the very best of the city parks, a selection of Melbourne’s most sought after schools, high fashion, fine dining and creative culture.
Seamless integration of indoor and outdoor living equips you for Melbourne's four seasons (even in one day).
"In collaboration with DKO Architects, our interior design offering has a place for everything, as these are not just apartments but homes. Highly considered elements such as custom joinery pieces, wine storage and hidden built-in benches provide extra functionality without compromising aesthetics." claimed a Studio Tate representative.
Seamless integration of indoor and outdoor living equips you for Melbourne's four seasons (even in one day). Snuggle up to the internal fireplace during winter, and spread out into the adjacent leafy private courtyard lounge for alfresco barbecue dining when the weather warms up.
The townhouses are nestled in landscaped surrounds by Jack Merlo, offering city life and calming nature in one package. The detailing and finishes of two colour schemes exude tones of cool sophistication, with special touches such as custom drawer linings, delicate reeded glass setting these interiors apart. Natural materials such as stone benches and timber wardrobes give warmth and tactility to the home. These are spaces to inhabit that challenge the expectations of small space living.
