Mayfair Street by Whispering Smith

An epic resort-style family home in Mount Claremont designed for a client that wanted to fulfil the lifelong dream of designing and building her own home and garden.

Nestled amongst the dense bushland, Mayfair Street House is a quasi-brutalist masonry structure designed by Whispering Smith.

The minimalism and simplicity of the home offers an impressive canvas to display a curated collection of furniture from Living Edge. Mirroring the natural landscape and architecture of the home, the interior design consists of refined, timeless, impeccably crafted furniture.

With a natural, monochromatic colour palette, Mayfair Street House simultaneously assimilates with the landscape in tone, whilst establishing itself in structure.

The brief was for a design that celebrated solid, highly textured materials like rammed earth and cantilevering concrete and cut a series of garden courtyards and external walkways to bring the garden in.

Breadstick Table and Bench by Skupa

A setting for the “breaking of bread” and named for the solid cylindrical legs that attach flush to the edge of the tabletop plane. The Breadstick collection is designed to sit at the centre of every day and move with you through life. Skupa, a fine furniture collection, providing beautiful solutions for everyday living. The collection includes versatile pieces that can stand alone or work together. The natural materials pair well with the muted tones of the space.

Grand Sofa by Vitra

Grand Sofà is Antonio Citterio’s interpretation of luxurious comfort and contemporary design. The designer’s Italian flair for lightness and elegance is united with the trademark quality and precision of the Swiss company Vitra.
