As we reflect on our 25th year, we are grateful to our valued customers, the Australian design industry and our incredible partners for your continued support and collaboration.
As part of our 25-year celebrations, we were honoured to host invited guests for a series of conversations with Eames Demetrios, grandson of Charles and Ray and Director of the Eames Office, and Chairman of the Charles and Ray Eames Foundation across our showrooms in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and Perth.
“Defining the icon” explored how design legacies are created, examining form, function and lasting influence, and what it takes for contemporary pieces to achieve true iconic status. From the iconic Lounge Chair to their pioneering moulded plywood experiments, the work of Ray and Charles Eames stands as a touchstone of modern culture and enduring proof that when function, craft, and human-centred thinking converge, the result resonates across generations.
To celebrate 25 years of Living Edge, we invited our community of architects, designers and design enthusiasts to share their Top 10 favourite pieces and help shape our list of Top 25 design icons. From classics to contemporary statements, we compiled the pieces that have defined a quarter-century of authentic design. These icons represent enduring craft, innovation and thoughtful intent that continues to shape the way we live and connect.
“As we celebrate 25 years of Living Edge, it’s inspiring to see which pieces resonate most with our community. Your favourites have helped shape our list of icons, reflecting a shared appreciation for craftsmanship, innovation and the power of design”.
— Aidan Mawhinney, CEO at Living Edge.

We also hosted a panel discussion on “The Future of Work in a World of Change”, exploring how design can respond to the evolving workplace through adaptability, sustainability and longevity. Thank you to Indesign Media Asia Pacific, our partners, collaborators and all those who came along.
To celebrate Knoll’s spirit, we hosted a panel of leading Australian designers to examine the enduring relevance of Knoll’s design philosophy today. At the centre of the conversation was Florence Knoll’s concept of Total Design—a holistic approach that integrated architecture, interior planning and furniture into one cohesive vision.
Moderated by Alice Blackwood, the discussion unpacked how Florence Knoll developed this philosophy, and how her collaborative process with architects and designers helped transform not only Knoll but the broader landscape of workplace design. Read more here.
100 Years of Wassily
Originally conceived in 1925 by Marcel Breuer, then a young designer at the Bauhaus, the chair was a radical departure from traditional furniture design. Inspired by the sleek, tubular construction of a bicycle, Breuer crafted a chair that was both visually striking and functionally innovative—redefining what furniture can be.

Created to preserve craftsmanship, value and sustainability, Relive provides a pathway to divert pieces from landfill and extend their lifespan, giving quality design a warranty-backed future.
“One of the core principles of the circular economy is to maximise the useful life of products through repair, refurbishment and reuse. We are here to make that happen by making it easier for people to source pre-owned products and access pathways to reuse authentic furniture.”

In September 1965, Brionvega unveiled an object destined to leave an indelible mark on the history of design: the Radiofonografo designed by Achille and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni. Sixty years later, the Brionvega Radiofonografo is still handcrafted in Italy with the same passion and dedication, continuing to captivate generations of enthusiasts with its unique history.
A 60th-anniversary edition of the iconic Radiofonografo has been released, reimagined by Elena Salmistraro in a sophisticated green finish—limited to just 60 numbered pieces worldwide.
“I had the honour of working on an object that, still today, represents an unsurpassed example of design and ingenuity. My approach has always been one of deep respect for the original piece: a project that requires neither functional nor formal modifications, as it is perfect in its essence.”
— Elena Salmistraro
