Demonstrating a shared commitment to sustainability, longevity, and purposeful design, Living Edge supported ZETR to reduce at its environmental impact at its new headquarters.
Minimalist electrical accessories company ZETR has built a trusted reputation as a valued collaborator for architects, designers, makers and creatives, providing innovative electrical systems for both residential and professional sectors. Founded in Sydney in 2017, ZETR offers a range of architectural light switches, minimalist surface mount designs, and designer power outlets that have changed the way we interact with power, transforming it into a considered, beautiful, and tactile experience.
The company’s recently completed headquarters and showroom was designed in-house by ZETR and provides a mix of spaces to foster creativity and collaboration. Offering open work zones, private meeting rooms, breakout spaces and collaboration pods, the headquarters is also home to a design workshop, on-site warehousing and production facilities, ensuring that design, prototyping, and manufacturing remain connected under one roof. A communal kitchen in the heart of the space provides a destination for the team to socialise and gather daily.
In contrast to the raw exterior of the building, the vision was to create an environment that reflected the refined aesthetic of the brand: clean lines, minimal joinery and tactile finishes.

Recognising the brand’s strong commitment to sustainability and the circular economy, ZETR partnered with Relive by Living Edge to integrate previously owned furniture into the space. Extending the lifespan of authentic furniture, Relive by Living Edge is a second-life furniture solution that offers pre-owned furniture new pathways for reuse. Extending the lifespan of authentic and original furniture, Relive by Living Edge is a second-life furniture offering, providing pre-owned products and pathways to refurbish and reuse authentic furniture. This purposeful approach meant that a number of pieces were refurbished and recycled for the fit out, preserving the integrity of the product and reducing waste to landfill.
“The second life furniture we provided ZETR through Relive by Living Edge looks perfectly at home within such a sophisticated interior scheme.”
– Guy Walsh, Sustainability Strategist at Living Edge.
“One of the core principles of the circular economy is to maximise the useful life of products through repair, refurbishment, and reuse. We are here to make that happen by making it easier for people to source pre-owned products and access pathways to reuse authentic furniture.” Furniture pieces supplied by Relive were recontextualised within the headquarters to support the evolving needs of the team.

Upon entry, Tom Dixon Fat Lounge Chair create an inviting pause for client consultation before leading into collaborative zones. The sculptural form of the chairs’ design creates a welcoming sense of arrival to the workplace.
Moving through the workspace, Herman Miller Abak workstations are paired alongside Herman Miller Mirra 1 Task Chairs, creating a flexible and ergonomic foundation for focused work. The workstations were originally supplied by Living Edge to a corporate client in 2006 and recovered by Relive in 2024. As part of the refurbishment, worktops were replaced while the underframe was reused, extending the life of the product. Fourteen-year-old Mirra 1 task chairs were also supplied by Relive. Living Edge salvaged and refurbished the chairs by replacing the backrests to give them a new lease of life. This process was possible due to the modular design of the chair and the fact that Herman Miller continues to supply replacement components for superseded models.

The Caon Bloc+ Meeting Booth serves as a power-enabled setting for private conversations. Designed by David Caon, the modular seating booth provides an ergonomic and acoustically-sound cocoon within the open-planned workspace. The piece was acquired by Relive by Living Edge from a corporate client for the project.

The Extremis Hopper Picnic Table in white anchors social team gatherings with its communal, outdoor-inspired design—its angular, architectural form a striking presence and contemporary update to the classic picnic table. Providing a space for casual meetings and client consultations, the base of the Herman Miller Eames Segmented table was fully constructed using reclaimed components and reimagined with a custom tabletop by ZETR, finished with the brand’s own 25 Connect power and data system is built in. Ex-display Muuto Fiber armchairs with swivel base complete the setting for drop-in work. The chair’s interior shell made of 100% recycled plastic is clad with soft wadding and upholstery for added comfort. ZETR’s own product innovations are installed throughout the headquarters, enabling seamless connectivity and intuitive control. The flush-finished outlets and switches blend into surfaces and act as quiet details throughout the workspace.

Garth Elliott, Director at ZETR said “ZETR HQ has always been an evolving project, a way for us to explore design beyond the electrical space. The shapes, materials, and finishes reflect the same process of refinement we bring to our products.”
