Designed by SJB with interiors by Simone Haag - This stylish and authentic residence is defined by its considered, customised design gestures, offering a sophisticated urban retreat above the vibrant milieu of cafes and restaurants within the Quay Quarter Lanes development.
SJB has masterfully crafted this residence to balance the dynamic spirit of its dense streetscape with the quietness and privacy of its interiors. Situated in one of three residential towers, the apartment features high ceilings, clean lines, noble materials, and integrated joinery, all elegantly contained within thick walls of Roman ochre brickwork. The sun-drenched abode offers a captivating panorama of Sydney Harbour, serving as the polestar of the apartment's design.
Interior designer Simone Haag has introduced a tempered and timeless character to the apartment through a curated selection of furniture, artwork, lighting, and objects. Simone's design approach finds synchronicity with the dynamic urban surroundings, creating a cohesive and cultured sense of modernity. Having worked with the client for over a decade, Simone was granted carte blanche to draw upon past experiences and navigate the client's preferences, resulting in a cathartic design process.
"We have worked with Simone a number of times. She knows our aesthetic, knows our style and was able to seamlessly shift a small set of walls with beautiful finishes into an absolutely stunning space!” Said the client. “The apartment is very Sydney. It gives just the right balance of stylish and beautiful while still being practical. It’s gracious, timeless, filled with pieces that mediate between a European touch and beautiful contemporary applications. It’s like living in the best suite in the best hotel but 100 times better."
