Designed by the award-winning Rezen studio, Gibney’s luxurious dining spaces are enhanced by the addition of Tom Dixon Fat stools in the bar area adding a perfect blend of style and comfort.
Inspired by the idea of reducing a chair to its most essential and exaggerated form, Tom Dixon aimed to create a piece that would be both inviting and visually striking. Dixon designed the Fat chair as part of his ongoing exploration of form, comfort, and the balance between functionality and artistic expression.
The Fat chair was first introduced in 2019, after which the collection grew to include different variations chairs, and just this year during 3 Days of Design 2024 other exciting seating options have been added to the family. Dixon's design philosophy often revolves around creating pieces that are both sculptural and practical, and the Fat chair is a quintessential example of this approach.
The design's simplicity, combined with its unique silhouette, makes it a favourite among designers who seek to introduce a touch of modern sophistication to their spaces. The Fat collection’s versatility, available in a range of finishes and upholstery options, allows it to complement various interior styles while standing out as a statement piece.
