An Exclusive First Look at Hex

Living Edge brought the design community together in Sydney and Melbourne to celebrate Hex by Buster + Punch.

A new geometric expression by Buster + Punch

Buster + Punch Hex event

Hosted at StandardX Fitzroy in Melbourne and Ace Hotel Sydney, Living Edge welcomed designers, industry partners and guests to celebrate Hex, a new collection by London-born design brand Buster + Punch. Guests also heard from founder and Creative Director Massimo Buster Minale, who shared the thinking behind the collection’s development.

Marking a new chapter for the brand, Hex moves beyond Buster + Punch’s signature cylindrical forms to explore geometry and proportion through a distinctive six-sided profile. Drawing on Art Deco and mid-century design, the collection combines crisp facets with the tactile weight of solid metal, extending across lighting, architectural hardware and switches.

Joining us in Australia, Massimo shared the design philosophy and craftsmanship behind Hex, reflecting on the decision to challenge the brand’s established forms while retaining its distinctive identity. We were also pleased to welcome Martin Preen, CEO of Buster + Punch, and John Wright, Sales Director for Australia, who co-hosted the evening with us.

Celebrating the Buster + Punch Hex collection

For over a decade, Buster + Punch has been defined by a cylindrical form. With Hex, I wanted to break with our conventions and apply our engineering experience to a completely new format. It had to feel unmistakably Buster + Punch but open a new world to experience.

Spanning door handles and cabinet hardware to lighting, switches and dimmers, Hex brings a coordinated approach to the finer details of an interior, with applications across residential, workplace and hospitality settings.

Thank you to Massimo and the Buster + Punch team, our event partners at StandardX Fitzroy and Ace Hotel Sydney, and everyone who joined us to celebrate and connect with our design community.
