A Sydney workplace reimagines its commercial headquarters through a vibrant and intuitive design to support all modes of work.
A bold approach to colour balances flexible functionality with convivial connection
Designed by COX Architecture, the Intuit Workplace reimagines the modern tech office as a vibrant, expressive environment shaped by colour, light, and connection.
At the heart of the design is a ‘village’ concept, where distinct neighbourhoods support a diversity of work modes, supporting the shift from focused work to collaborative interaction. Colour is used as a primary architectural tool to define these environments, creating rhythm, clarity, and identity across the workplace.
Brooke Lloyd, Director at COX said the furniture settings were intentionally varied to encourage movement throughout the workplace.
“Depending on the activity that is being undertaken there are furniture pieces for connection and retreat supporting both collaboration and focussed activities.”
“Balancing ergonomics and aesthetics was key. Settings needed to be fit for purpose, but we also wanted the furniture to feel joyful.”

Upon entry, the central spiral stair forms a colourful focal point, where blue-stained oak catches and refracts daylight, emphasising the building’s verticality. In contrast, the bold lines of the Percy Chair provide a clean, graphic canvas for colour and material expression.

This curvaceous yet compact lounge chair offers a supportive and comfortable sit, encouraging guests to take a moment to pause.
Moving through the workspace, furniture was selected to enable space for both concentration and connection. Their design complements the fluidity of the workspace, prioritising comfort, movement, and long-term wellbeing.

Reflecting on the task seating selection, Josh Coughlan, Senior Regional Sales Manager at MillerKnoll, highlights Herman Miller’s commitment to purposeful design and intelligent functionality.
