Highlights from Maison&Objet 2026

Maison&Objet spotlights the designers and brands shaping the future of furniture design and interiors through innovation.

Past Reveals Future

Each January, the international design community converges on Paris for Maison&Objet — a key barometer for the ideas, materials and craftsmanship shaping the year ahead. Taking place between 15–19 January 2026, the fair offers a global perspective on contemporary furniture and interiors, bringing together designers, makers and brands at the forefront of their disciplines.

Past Reveals Future

This year’s theme, ‘Past Reveals Future’, celebrates craftsmanship and heritage by exploring the dialogue between tradition and innovation in contemporary design.

Paris-based design house La Chance opened the doors to its gallery and showroom at 60 rue de Richelieu throughout the fair, displaying the latest designs by Anthony Guerrée, Louise Breguet, and Jean-Baptiste Souletie. The gallery is situated in a vibrant neighbourhood where design galleries, fashion houses, fabric manufacturers, and renowned Parisian shops and restaurants coexist.

La Chance

Danish studio Christian & Jade debuted their first collaboration with La Chance, while new furniture pieces were shown in dialogue with artworks from Galerie Ketabi Bourdet, curated for the event.

The winter exhibition will be on display at Galerie La Chance, 60 rue de Richelieu, Paris until 1st March 2026.

British designer Tom Dixon presented a special curatorial project, Art & Industrie, at Galerie RX&SLAG in the heart of the Marais—the city’s hub for contemporary art, design and cultural experimentation.

Art & Industrie

As guest curator, Tom explored his long-standing obsession with materials, manufacturing, and the fertile ground between art and industry. The exhibition highlighted the shared language between contemporary art and industrial design through bold material juxtapositions and unexpected dialogues, spanning new pieces from the SS26 collection, including Groove, and vintage works from his personal archives.

Art Et Industrie

Previewed at the fair was one of Tom’s first experiments with rotational moulding, Jack, which has been reimagined for the outdoors: portable, rechargeable, illuminating and waterproof. A multifunctional lighting object, its shape was inspired by concrete coastal defences called ‘Tetrapods’ and is designed to stack.

The piece is fully cordless and portable, allowing you to effortlessly move and set it up anywhere. Crafted using the industrial precision of air rotation-moulding, its matte white shade is not only durable but also emits a soft, diffused glow.

"If there is one thing that characterises the rapidly changing world that we inhabit, it is mobility – the way we live and work and play is dominated by an increased need for portability and flexibility.

No longer do we want to be tethered to a fixed desk or power outlet, so increasingly we want our light to move with us – thankfully the magic of technology has come to the rescue with powerful batteries and low energy light sources combining to allow us to illuminate wherever we choose with complete adaptability.

And it’s for this reason we loved working on this new series of expressive rechargeable occasional lighting!"
