Description
Designed by Patrick Séha in 2010, the PER/USE Piano Coat Rack rethinks the familiar wall-mounted hanger as an interactive field of timber. Its narrow vertical slats create a disciplined architectural rhythm, while individually folding hooks appear only where they are needed.
Hooks can be opened or closed across the full width of the rack and positioned at four different heights. This flexibility allows coats, bags, towels and smaller accessories to be arranged without imposing a fixed layout. When not in use, the hooks return neatly into the panel, restoring its calm, linear surface and reducing visual clutter.
The Piano Coat Rack works with equal assurance in an entry, bedroom or bathroom, while its adaptable capacity also suits home offices and corporate settings. Available in Small or Large, it can serve as a compact personal organiser or a more generous shared storage point.
A separate wall-mounting block supports straightforward installation, while a considered palette of Beech White, Ash, Oak, Teak, Walnut and Oak Black allows the timber to sit quietly within the interior or provide a warmer point of contrast. Practical when required and composed when closed, Piano brings useful storage to the wall without making the room feel busier.
