Bates Smart has worked with Sparke Helmore over the past year on the strategic briefing and design of its new workspace spanning 5,000 sqm in Sydney’s MLC Tower.

    Shape Sparke MLC 081

    Project - 06.04.2016

The new workspace places staff wellbeing and the firm’s culture at the forefront, with a focus on increasing teamwork and engagement of staff to drive a more collaborative, flexible and future focused environment.

The workspace is a cul-de-sac cluster design with offices radiating from the perimeter, creating neighbourhood teams of 10-12 people and a mix of enclosed and open workspace. This ensures all staff have access to natural light and views which enhances the team based culture.

Staff are encouraged to come together in one large breakout space, located adjacent to reception – designed to suit use by staff, clients and for functions.

Natural materials and earthy tones, combine with organic shapes and softer forms to create an environment that is warm, welcoming and unpretentious.
