Mika started his own practice after graduating from the Royal College of Art in 2001. He has produced furniture, lighting and objects for brands including Muuto, FontanaArte, Frag, Blå Station, and Zanotta.

He is interested in not only designing products but looking for ways designs can improve scenarios and situations. "What really defines objects is how we use them not what they appear to be," he says. "Design should not be the one that requires attention by being special."
