Lise Vester

Lise is a Copenhagen-based designer (born in 1991) whose work bridges aesthetics, craft and sensory experience. She holds a Master of Arts in Design Products from the Royal College of Art in London, and runs Lise Vester Studio, where she creates furniture, lighting and objects aimed at enriching everyday life through design.

Her design philosophy is rooted in the idea that aesthetic and sensory design can improve well-being. One formative experience that shapes her work is a collaboration she did while studying with a Danish hospice - a place with personal significance to her - where she observed how design and architecture can contribute to care, comfort, and emotional support.

She often uses playful, sculptural elements in her work that invite curiosity, reflection and engagement, aiming both to celebrate the beauty of ordinary life and to shift how people perceive the spaces around them.
Vester has been recognised with several design awards and honours. For example, she was nominated for Scandinavian Design Award’s “Rising Star of the Year” in 2023; in 2022 she was named Designer of the Year at the BoBedre Design Awards, and was a finalist or nominee in multiple other competitions.

Her “Dream View” collection (a chair, sphere and lamp) seeks to promote mental wellbeing by encouraging moments of daydreaming and observing the sky - as a way of being still, reflecting, and gaining new perspectives.
