Jan Plecháč and Henry Wielgus met during their studies at the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague where their collaboration began. After Plecháč exhibited his thesis work at Salone Satellite 2011, he gained much attention from gallery owners and many well-known manufacturers. In 2012, they founded the studio Jan Plecháč & Henry Wielgus.
