David Geckeler is an industrial designer based in Berlin. Born in 1984, he studied Industrial Design at the University of Applied Science Potsdam, abroad at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen and completed his studies at the University of Arts in Berlin in 2012.

After completing his studies, David Geckeler has been working on several projects for international clients. Nerd chair for Danish brand, Muuto is one of his first designs that was taken into production. The “Nerd” was honoured by Beckers International Design Award 2011 and is the winner of Muuto Talent Award 2012.

Currently, he is exploring beyond industrial design creating furniture, interiors, tableware and lighting. His chair design, Nerd was honoured by Beckers International Design Award 2011 and won the 2012 Muuto Talent Award.
