Description

The designer seems to be paying homage to Alexander Calder in the lightness and mobility of the forms, its true distinctive features. The Memphis designers incorporated geometric forms and colour in their response to the modernist philosophy, which they disdained for its rational, unemotional, functionalist approach to design. Produced in a small series, it reinterprets the perfect combination of industry and crafts, in true Memphis style. It stands out for the blue adjustable back and the two black spheres that act as armrests.
