Tom Dixon

A global design house known for turning everyday functional objects into sculptural masterpieces. Since launching its eponymous brand in 2002, the company has become synonymous with lighting, furniture, accessories, fragrance and more - each piece blending bold materiality, British edge, and inventive craftsmanship.

Its hallmark is a tension between industrial ruggedness and refined elegance, between experimental forms and grounded usability.

The brand’s journey is one of constant reinvention. Tom Dixon was born from a desire to rethink industrial design - to move beyond conventional practice - and this shows in its wide spectrum of works: from salvaged steel furniture in Dixon’s early days, through partnerships with Italian producers, to the creation of collections that integrate lighting, fragrance and object design. Its studio in London serves as both design lab and cultural laboratory, where material exploration, craftsmanship and unexpected visual narratives meet.
In 2001, Tom was awarded an OBE by Her Majesty the Queen for his services to British design. He went on to be awarded the prestigious London Design Medal at the British Land Celebration of Design Awards in 2019. Tom is one of the industry's most feted British designers and is internationally heralded as a significantly original talent.

Best-selling products such as Beat, Melt, S-Chair and Wingback are instantly recognisable and have been acquired by the world's most famous museums including the Victoria & Albert Museum, London; MOMA, New York; and the Centre Pompidou, Paris. Latest additions to the brand's range, such as the Fat collection, Groove outdoor setting and Press lighting are quickly gaining momentum and reiterate Tom's status and significance in the design world.
