Est. 1994, Globe is proud to say they have supported skateboarding from the inception of the brand. Skateboarding has been and always will be a part of Globe's DNA.
Beginning in the mid-1980s with the design, production and distribution of third-party brands in Australia with Hardcore Enterprises, Melbourne’s Hill brothers: Stephen, Peter and Matt created a global boardsports brand of their own, first with shoes for skaters and surfers in the mid-1990s and then with apparel and hardgoods for the broader market. With head offices in Melbourne, Los Angeles, and Hossegor (France), Globe is sold by selected retailers in more than 100 countries worldwide.
Globe has partnered with the National Forest Foundation (NFF) to donate to their tree-planting program. Globe’s yearly donations to the NFF help plant more than three times the number of trees they harvest annually in making skateboards. The NFF is a United States non-profit organisation that launched an ambitious campaign to plant 50 million trees across public National Forests between 2018 and 2023. The NFF partners with the United States Forest Service to target National Forests impacted by wildfire, pests and other disturbances. Globe is proud to be making a contribution towards that effort.
