Description
Drawing 30 belongs to the same sustained series of works made without plan or preliminary sketch. Bouroullec uses felt pens to produce combinations of colour that are highly nuanced in tone and texture, and this work is a direct expression of that instinctive process — form emerging through the act of drawing itself rather than in advance of it.
It is a piece that rewards time, its apparent spontaneity revealing considered internal relationships between line, weight and colour.
