Description

Designed by Thomas Bentzen in 2019, Linear Steel takes its character from an idea of meetings: lines meeting edges, legs intersecting the tabletop, and materials meeting the demands of outdoor life. Folded table edges and half-circular legs give the design a precise architectural rhythm, while narrow spacing between the tabletop panels allows rainwater to drain rather than collect.

Made in Sweden from galvanised steel, the range is built for exterior use without feeling visually heavy. Powder-coated finishes have a subtly textured, deep-matt surface that is UV- and weather-resistant, and are available in a considered range of colours. Warm Galvanized Steel offers a more industrial expression, with the lustrous finish easing into a matte surface over time.

Sizes move from compact café tables for up to 4 people, to generous dining tables that can seat 10, making Linear Steel equally useful for a quiet breakfast or generous entertaining. The series is tested to EN 581-1 and EN 581-3 for outdoor table safety, with purpose-designed Outdoor Covers available to help shield tables when not in use.

The Linear Steel Bench is proportioned to slide beneath the table, extending the same folded-edge and intersecting-leg language while keeping the setting visually ordered. Dining chairs in the form of the Linear Steel Side Chair and Armchair are also available in the same finishes.
