Crosshatch Lounge Chairs

Inspired by a strong sense of place, the design team at Corrs Chambers Westgarth aimed to provide a workplace that reflects timeless elegance while embracing the unparalleled views of Sydney Harbour. One of the standout features in the lobby is the incorporation of Geiger Crosshatch lounge chairs, adding a touch of sophistication and comfort to the welcoming space.

Designed by the renowned Austrian design trio EOOS, the Geiger Crosshatch lounge chairs are a testament to their commitment to blending art and functionality. EOOS, consisting of Gernot Bohmann, Harald Gründl, and Martin Bergmann, is known for its innovative approach to design, often creating pieces that challenge conventional norms. The Crosshatch chair is no exception, featuring a unique combination of materials and an intricate webbing pattern that not only provides structural support but also adds an artistic flair to the seating.

In addition to the aesthetic appeal of the interior, Corrs Chambers Westgarth's design approach also focused on sustainability and well-being. The layout maximises the use of natural light, with a strategic lighting plan that aligns with circadian rhythms, promoting a healthy and energising atmosphere for employees. This thoughtful integration of design and functionality enhances the overall well-being of the staff, fostering a positive work environment. The Crosshatch chairs not only contribute to the overall design language but also offer a comfortable and stylish seating solution for the lobby area. The attention to detail in the choice of furniture reflects the dedication to creating an environment that not only meets functional needs but also elevates the overall experience for both staff and clients.

The resulting interior is not only a workplace but also a piece of art that tells a story of innovation, collaboration, and a deep appreciation for the cultural and natural elements that define Australia.
