Description

The chair’s clean geometry and thoughtful use of materials echo the ethos of minimalism found in the works of artists like Anne Truitt, whose exploration of vertical forms and subtle material contrasts imbued her sculptures with quiet strength.

At the heart of Pause’s design is an appreciation for material honesty and craftsmanship. Solid steel bars form the structural framework, their weight and presence both grounding and sculptural.

These elements, finished in polished chrome or matte black, bring a modern edge, while rounded oak components provide warmth and texture. The wood, treated with an open-pore finish in natural or black, celebrates its grain and tactile qualities.

While firmly rooted in architectural rigour, Pause also prioritises comfort. Available in two variations—one with high armrests for natural support and another with a minimalist contour—the chair adapts to diverse interiors.

Pause is more than seating, it is an invitation to slow down and appreciate design as both art and utility. Its name encapsulates its essence - a chair that offers respite while challenging the boundaries of minimalism and material exploration.
