Description

The Bob Armchair from Walter Knoll is designed for settings where people sit a little longer. Pearson Lloyd gives the dining chair a softer, more enveloping character, pairing a gently curved shell with the comfort and ease of an upholstered armchair.

Its moulded foam bucket seat wraps around the body with low, open arms, a supportive back and a fixed seat cushion made from cold cure foam with an outer layer of wadding. The result is generous without feeling heavy. It works around a dining table, at a meeting table or in a bedroom corner where a conventional dining chair would feel too formal.

The chair rests on a slim central column and a matt polished die-cast Aluminium 4-star swivel base, allowing the sitter to turn easily without shifting the chair in and out of place. That small movement makes Bob particularly useful in conversational interiors, flexible work settings and dining spaces that move between meals, laptops and lingering.
