Description

Designed by Tom Dixon in 2025, the Flare Pendant light explores how a simple suspended form can change character through shape, surface and light. Its mouth-blown glass shade brings a gentle, organic quality to the room, creating a clear focal point without adding visual clutter.

Two silhouettes offer subtly different expressions. Bead has a rounded teardrop profile with a softly weighted base, while Top tapers to a more pointed spinning-top form. Compact enough to hang individually beside a bed or reading chair, yet expressive enough to form a considered cluster above a dining table.

The finish determines the atmosphere. Gloss opalescent glass creates an even, diffused presence, while mirrored silver glass reflects its surroundings and gives the internal light source greater visual depth. It is a choice between quiet glow and heightened reflection.

Ancient craft meets scientific innovation, as each Flare Pendant light is crafted by hand using a series of carbon moulds for flawless sculptural consistency. The design is certified to NZ/AUS standards. Clean only with a soft, dry cloth, with the electricity supply switched off.
