Description
The Muecke Side Table by Knoll is built around a clear material idea: letting wood remain legible. The Muecke Side Table pairs a square tabletop with a frame of solid wood cylindrical dowels, creating a composition that feels both structured and open.
Rather than concealing its construction, the design brings it forward. Rounded dowels pass each other on nearby planes and connect where they meet, repeating a distinctive joinery detail across the piece. The result is rhythmic and architectural, with the end grain visible as part of the table’s character rather than hidden from view.
Its compact scale makes it useful beside a sofa, lounge chair, bed or desk, offering a steady surface for a lamp, book, glass or small working object. In a living room, bedroom or office, it adds presence without heaviness. Available in natural oak, ebony ash or Oxford walnut, the Muecke Side Table can read warm, graphic or richly tonal, depending on the finish.
