Description
The Backenzahn™ Steel Side Table revisits one of E15’s most recognisable forms through a new material language. The original 1996 Backenzahn™ is translated into folded stainless steel, retaining its compact proportions, flat top and distinctive four-legged silhouette while introducing a sharper, more reflective presence.
Precisely folded planes form the table as a single resolved object. Narrow openings between the legs lighten the visual weight of the steel, creating shifting lines of shadow and reflection as the viewing angle changes. Its stable surface offers an easy resting place for a book, drink or bedside essentials, while the modest footprint allows it to settle beside a sofa, armchair or bed without crowding the room.
Five finishes give the design markedly different characters. Polished stainless steel brings a mirrored, luminous quality, while brushed stainless steel feels quieter and more architectural. Polished brass-plated introduces warmth, while the powder-coated Vermilion and Jet Black finishes emphasise the table’s graphic geometry through saturated colour.
Delivered fully assembled as one piece and suitable for interior or exterior use, Backenzahn™ Steel moves comfortably between living areas, bedrooms, bathrooms and sheltered outdoor settings. It is a familiar design made newly vivid through metal, reflection and colour.
