2001 Side Table

Description

Ramón Úbeda and Otto Canalda have always been spoken of as a 'couple of convenience' and continue as such, completing projects together with over 10 years of experience. Úbeda takes on the conceptual part of the project while Canalda works on the technical side. They do not share a studio but understand and complement each other. They prefer to work after hours, free from office routine and the pressure of delegated assignments. Their work does not follow an aesthetic pattern or a defining characteristic style, but always offers an element of surprise.

Developments spring from a wealth of knowledge in manufacturing possibilities as well as all types of industrial technologies and artisanal processes, even mixing the two as they have done with the 2001 Side Table series, which have been designed in a minimalist style.
