Description

Designed by Verner Panton and produced by Vitra, the Visiona Stool traces its origins to Panton’s visionary interior installation created for the 1970 Visiona exhibition in Cologne. Developed as part of an immersive environment of soft forms and vibrant colour, the stool reflects the designer’s belief that furniture could shape atmosphere as much as function.

The design features a simple cylindrical geometry upholstered in fabric, offering comfortable seating that feels both relaxed and versatile. Its compact proportions and lightweight construction allow it to be easily moved and arranged, encouraging spontaneous groupings and adaptable layouts across living spaces, lounges and collaborative environments.

Inside, a polyurethane foam structure with a supportive core provides durability and comfort, while the removable fabric cover allows for easy maintenance. A wide palette of colours and textiles reflects Panton’s celebrated use of colour as a dynamic element within interiors.

Whether used individually as a casual seat or combined in clusters to form playful seating landscapes, the Visiona Stool brings a sense of informality, colour and creative spirit to contemporary interiors.
