Designed in Tom Dixon’s London studio, the Loopy Rug treats texture as its defining pattern. Rather than relying on bold graphics, it draws visual interest from the structure of the weave itself, creating a calm, tactile foundation for contemporary interiors.

Handwoven by skilled artisans in Northern India, the rug combines New Zealand wool and cotton in closely worked horizontal rows. Solid and melange yarns shift gently across the surface, giving the otherwise restrained design subtle depth and irregularity. The rounded loops lend the rug a soft, buoyant character underfoot, while the visible rhythm of the weave preserves the hand of its maker.

Its understated surface makes Loopy particularly useful beneath a dining table, beside a bed or as an anchor for a living area. In a home office, it brings warmth and acoustic softness without adding visual distraction. Each rug carries minor variations created through handweaving, lending the finished piece an individual character rather than a machine-perfect uniformity.

Available in two shades, Blue introduces fine threads of cool colour through the warm off-white wool, offering definition without becoming overtly patterned, while Natural takes a quieter approach with soft neutral variations that allow timber, stone and upholstery to remain prominent within the room.
