Description
Designed by Thomas Bentzen, the Brink Chair takes the familiar veneer chair to its material edge. A decisive shift in the shell’s planes reinforces its thin form and casts a crisp shadow across the front and back, giving the chair definition without visual weight. Softened edges support the body, while subtle movement in the shell prevents the seat from feeling rigid. The Cantilever version extends this response through its bent-steel frame.
The form-pressed shell combines a layered beech veneer core with an oak surface veneer, finished in water-based lacquer. Three base options provide clear choice: the aluminium A-base creates a precise, visually light outline; the Cantilever adds controlled flex and a more graphic profile; and the Wood base forms a continuous timber expression. Black and Dark Olive produce a tonal, architectural character, while Oak brings the natural grain forward.
Non-upholstered, seat-upholstered and full-front-upholstered versions are available by enquiry. Made using FSC™-certified (FSC-C028824) wood, Brink can be separated into its main components to support repair and renewal. For everyday care, wipe the shell and base with a water-dampened cloth, using mild detergent only when needed.
