During Paris Design Week 2025, La Chance opened the doors to its new gallery at 60 rue de Richelieu.
Founded in Paris, La Chance is a design house known for its bold, graphic aesthetic and contemporary reinterpretations of French decorative arts. Working with an international roster of designers, the brand creates furniture, lighting and accessories that celebrate materiality, craftsmanship and a distinctly playful spirit. Each piece expresses the La Chance philosophy of design as an experience where colour, texture and form combine to create objects with lasting presence.
Positioned between the Palais Royal, Richelieu Library and Place des Victoires, the new address sits within one of Paris’s most dynamic quarters, where design galleries, fashion houses and historic institutions exist side by side. It is an environment that mirrors the spirit of La Chance itself—where tradition meets bold creativity.
The gallery greets visitors with a luminous nine-metre wall that casts a gentle light across sculptural forms clad in graphic wood veneer. At once playful and rigorous, the setting draws on the legacy of figures such as Ettore Sottsass and Jean-Michel Frank, while asserting its own contemporary presence. Niches and crafted details punctuate the space, while a textured concrete staircase anchors the room with sculptural intent, guiding the visitor upwards.
In the quiet of the inner courtyard, a dedicated workshop provides space for testing, prototyping and material research. Here, the connection between design and making is foregrounded, an essential extension of La Chance’s design philosophy.
At 180 m², the new address offers more than a showcase. It is a working environment for architects, interior designers and collaborators to encounter La Chance’s collections, develop project-specific ideas and engage directly with the brand’s designers. With this new Paris home, La Chance affirms its role as not only a furniture brand, but as a cultural voice in contemporary design a place where professionals and the public alike can experience its vision first-hand.
