Dorothee Becker

A German self-taught designer, Dorothee Becker was born in 1938.

After studying languages, she lived in London and Paris and then moved to California in 1960.

She later returned to Germany with her husband, the German industrial designer Ingo Maurer, and ran a design store until 1989. She continues her creative activities to this day. Her most famous design is the Uten.Silo wall organiser for Vitra.
