BD Barcelona Design was founded in 1972 as Bd Ediciones de Diseño by architects and interior designers Pep Bonet, Cristian Cirici, Lluis Clotet, Mireia Riera and Oscar Tusquets.

The founders come from the world of culture rather than business, and have always sought out beauty above all else. In production, this has meant combining artisan processes with industrial technologies, valuing well-made, luxurious objects, and distancing themselves from mass production.

The BD Barcelona collection boasts an impressive lineup of creations from some of the world’s most celebrated designers. This includes contemporary visionaries like Alfredo Häberli, Jaime Hayon, Konstantin Grcic, and Ross Lovegrove, alongside timeless masterpieces by legendary icons Antoni Gaudi and Salvador Dali. Each piece in the range reflects a blend of innovative design and enduring artistic legacy.

BD Barcelona Design has been awarded the National Design Award 1989, the European Community Design Prize 1990, the Red Dot Design Award "Best of the Best" 2011, the Catalonia Ecodesign Award 2017 and Gardenias Silver Award 2014.
