Released in 2026, the Tom Dixon Boulder Bookends treat books as objects to be held, displayed and returned to over time. Their generous marble forms bring a sense of permanence to shelving, translating the elemental character of the wider Boulder collection into a quietly functional pair.

Each bookend is shaped as a softened segment of stone, with a curved outer profile and flat inner face that rests neatly against a row of books. The set combines two contrasting marbles: Flamingo, defined by its deep burgundy hue and pale, branching veins, and Forest Brown, layered with ochre, umber and darker mineral markings. Together, they create a measured dialogue between colour, pattern and geological weight.

Natural variation is central to the design. Every piece carries its own veining, tonal shifts and markings, so no two sets are precisely alike. The substantial marble construction provides the stability needed to support art books, collected editions and everyday reading, while the polished contours lend the pair the presence of small sculptures.

Placed at either end of a collection, Boulder gives a shelf clearer structure and visual rhythm.
