Plec Umbrella Stand

Description

Designed by Isabel Gamero and Jordi Pérez, the Plec umbrella stand turns an everyday object into a precise study of folds, repetition and negative space. Its semi-matte polished stainless steel body is formed around a 90-degree angle, allowing it to sit neatly within a corner rather than occupy valuable floor space.

Two storage levels accommodate both full-length and compact umbrellas, keeping different sizes upright and easy to reach. A polyester foam lining at the base provides a softer resting point within the metal structure. Despite its modest footprint, Plec has a strong architectural presence, with open channels and stepped volumes creating different compositions as the piece is viewed from above or across a room.

For larger entrance halls, reception spaces and shared environments, multiple stands can be placed together to increase capacity and extend the geometry into a larger installation. In continuous production for nearly 30 years, Plec remains a quietly capable solution for keeping wet-weather essentials close at hand and the threshold composed.
