Description

Designed by Tom Dixon in 2026, the Crown range brings a distinctly industrial character to Britain’s most recognisable emblem. The familiar points and orb-shaped tips are reduced to a strong graphic silhouette, balancing historical reference with a dry sense of wit.

Each piece is individually sand-cast in iron, then finished in a durable matte black powder coating. Subtle variations in texture and surface are an intentional result of the casting process, giving every Crown its own character. The material carries real physical weight, grounding the expressive outline and creating an object that feels substantial in the hand and settled on the surface.

Available in 3 sizes, Crown moves easily between decorative and practical roles. The deeper forms hold candles within their peaked walls, framing the flame and casting shifting shadows across the surrounding metal. The flatter version can be used as a pillar candle holder, trinket dish or kitchen trivet, giving the collection a place beyond the dining table. Grouped together, the varying heights create a loose, ceremonial arrangement. Used alone, each has enough presence to sit comfortably on a console, shelf or desk.

The Crown range is designed to remain active within an interior rather than becoming a purely ornamental object. It can bring low light to an evening table, hold small everyday pieces by the door, or simply rest as a compact cast-iron sculpture.
