The Mi Chair (pronounced “me”) is a sculptural chair for you, me, and everyone. Fascinated by the laws of physics, Italian designer Giovanni Pagnotta designed this chair to demonstrate how compound curves are highly efficient at transferring and managing load. “By using curvature, you can optimize strength while minimizing material usage,” says Giovanni. “The challenging part is translating that into a comfortable chair.” Challenge met and exceeded, as the sleek Mi Chair provides ergonomic support while holding the sitter in a comfortable position. Plus, it’s made of polyethylene, which has a natural flex and give.
