Rich Brilliant Willing is a Brooklyn-based studio that designs and manufactures LED fixtures for hospitality, workplace, and residential projects. RBW was founded on the belief that light has the unlimited potential to transform the environments in which people live their daily lives. The studio has been a pioneering force in the use of LEDs in contemporary design, recognising its potential to bring both warmth and energy efficiency to everyday life.

Rich Brilliant Willing collaborated as the exclusive lighting partner for Rapt Studio’s debut at this year’s Salone del Mobile. The installation titled Tell Me More is an interactive, immersive installation at Ventura Centrale, displaying a grand installation of RBW’s Vitis, Centro pendants, and Crisp sconce lighting collections along the walls. Tell Me More explores the intersection of spatial experience and emotional connection, offering visitors the opportunity to experience a microcosm of a Rapt-designed environment.

Tell Me More aims to explore the intersection of spatial experience and emotional connection, offering visitors the opportunity to experience a microcosm of a Rapt-designed environment. Inspired by the feeling of entering a beloved space, the two-part installation consists of an arrival chamber and expansive lounge, which serve as a backdrop to explore human connection.

As guests first enter the space, they are greeted by small circular, drapery-clad “stages” –personal theaters. Each stage presents guests with a question posed by the stranger who came before them. Upon reflecting, visitors are asked to leave a query for the next guest and transition beyond the mirrored walls into the lounge.

In the lounge, guests gather underneath a living collage created by a shower of lights that hang from the vault ceiling. Among the lights hang threads, from which the questions posed in the personal theatres reappear to encourage guests to consider their answers, strike up conversations, and make personal connections with those around them.

Of the installation, Rapt Studio’s CEO and Chief Creative Officer David Galullo says, “We envision Tell Me More as a living embodiment of human interaction –an exercise in placemaking built on and celebrating connection and conversation. A place for storytelling, with a memory all its own.”
