    Our Milantrace 2019 Journey.

“Awesome. Epic. Intense. Overwhelming. A combination of sheer joy and intense moments of frustration – the world’s premier design event is all that and so so much more,” says Dana Hughes, founder of Yellowtrace.

2019 has marked Living Edge’s 6th year in partnership with International design platform Yellowtrace for our Milantrace Talk series. Sharing with Australia, Salone Del Mobile, a global platform for truly unparalleled designs with the emphasis on forcast, inspiration and innovation. A showcase that has always mixed business with culture, shaping the history of design and furnishing yesterday, today and tomorrow. Once again, team Yellowtrace spent the week of Salone on the ground in Milan, hitting not only the fair but also many of the city’s creative districts to bring us the unmissable highlights from the year’s most compelling design showcase. As always, Yellowtrace Founder and Curator Dana Tomic Hughes, has travelled across the country from Brisbane to Perth to Sydney and finally Melbourne sharing her keen insights and unwaivering passion for design.

With 2,000 exhibitors at the furniture fair and around 800 satellite events scattered around Milan, 450,000 visitors were drawn to the city over the six days, the Salone enjoyed an increase in visitor numbers of 27 per cent on last year. “While this is staggering in itself, what was

truly amazing was seeing design hunters from across the world immerse themselves into the city mix, united by their common love of the best design on the planet at this point in time. Not that it makes getting around any easier...” said Jo Mawhinney, Product Director at Living Edge

As Salone lights up the city of Milan, the rest of the world waits patiently. Through collaborative efforts with Yellowtrace, Milantrace is our effort to share Milan with Australia. After the success of previous years, the Milantrace talk series -previously held in Living Edge showrooms in all states- demanded larger venues. This year, the incorporation of Deakin Edge in Melbourne and Sydney’s Masonic Centre allowed for over 1,500 people to join our Milan experience.

We’d like to thank everyone who attended this year’s Milantrace talk series and extend a special thank you to everyone who has joined us throughout the years.
