Ronin is a graphic chair. The lines are inspired by Japanese traditional cabinet maker assembly techniques and style. The signature back is an interpretation of the "torii" structures found at the entrance of the Shinto temples. Ronin also was the name of the rogue samouraïs in medieval Japan.
The Art Deco movement of the 30s found its inspirations on all continents and cultures. For instance, Jean Dunand used Japanese lacquer techniques and patterns that he combined with French inspiration to create his famous vases and dividing screens used by Ruhlmann in the Hotel du collectionneur in 1928.
La Chance follows this tradition of international collaboration to produce the Ronin chair: designed by a Danish artist, inspired by Japanese culture and techniques, manufactured in Italy, and sold worldwide by a French brand.
The Ronin Chair can be customised in a range of textile options, please enquire for more information.
