Description

Antony Gormley is one of the world’s most prolific and acclaimed contemporary artists. For four decades, his practice has unwaveringly focussed on the dynamic of the body in space. Underlying his expansive site-specific installations, sculptures, and works on paper is a profound engagement and questioning of how the inside of the body relates to the outside, and where human beings stand in relation to both our immediate surrounds and the cosmos beyond.

Bespoke mild steel frame with welded corners; Optium non-reflective UV-blocking acrylic glazing; 8-ply and 4-ply cotton-fibre museum rag boards; float mounting using thread-through Japanese tissue paper hinges with purified wheat starch adhesive; rigid non-porous backing board (Dibond) with insulating inner board (Coreflute); sealed timber sub-frame with inbuilt split-batten hanging system for easy and secure wall attachment.
